Old Mantra Machine, OMM for short, is a fan of anything except religion that can work as a placebo, including yoga and mantras, and likes to do exactly what her name suggest.
Be warned: What you are at risk of reading here is the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy kind of poetry. Remember the Vogon destructor fleet? Always wondered what the Vogon captain reads to the poor hitchhikers to torture them?
OMM knows, because OMM writes* this kind of s**t. In three different languages, two of which OMM masters much better than English. Using one’s native languages provides so many more ways to err.
Grab your sickness bags and have a go, if you dare!

*OMM output is actually only written down after the crime of coming up with it. The creative process works as follows:
- OMM walks dog (dog gets walked 5 times a day, for up to 5 hours, plenty of opportunity)
- OMM feet provide rhythm, think brisk steps, 1 – 2 – 3 – 4, let’s march, step, step, let’s march, step, step
- OMM brain provides topic of the day
- OMM brain tries sentences that cover topic
- If the sentences feel right, OMM output sticks to OMM brain like chewing gum to sole of shoe
- Time to write OMM output down
Some of the OMM output is also provided as audio files. It’s not the real thing, because recorded at a desk, not while walking the dog. Some people do very actively participate in team meetings while walking in the park, it’s a bit of a fad. But every fad is a good idea. Troim might be more than a bit weird, but not weird enough to talk to by himself while walking.
